The VORTEX HORIZONTAL PROFILER 160 XP horizontal machining center with full 5-axis capabilities adds unmatched power, speed and accuracy to the production of medium and large aerospace parts. The large vertically oriented worktable positions horizontally for quick, easy part loading and setup.
The machine’s standard high-speed spindle with integral motor-spindle design makes quick work of a wide variety of challenging materials. Symmetrical, rugged construction and a special box-type design integrate the base, column and table for consistently rigid cutting. Advanced coolant and chip disposal stabilize cutting processes and minimize heat displacement. A 30-tool magazine provides setup flexibility.
For additional machining versatility, the machine is available with options that include an ultra-high-speed spindle, larger tool magazine and rotary-type two-table changer.
